| Ignacio Uriarte works with tools from the office space. He uses MS-Excel not just an economical tool but as an aesthetic productive one. The result is quite close to the perfectionist minimalist paintings, but we can find here some ironic factors, as the origin of the work is the office space, a non-creative context under an artistic point of view. “6 colour field paintings / 6 color-field paintings” uses the Black and White to offer emotive relations with the coloured abstract surface. Black and White because the work is based on the office printer, usually in Black and White. It is possible to download the work as Excel or Pdf file to print it in a DIN-A3, playing a little bit more with formats and presentation systems within the art context or the office space. |
